ASSOCIATE INSPECTORS:

Chad Higley – TREC Professional Inspector #21706
chad
Chad is a native of southern California, but we don’t hold that against him here at TAHI. Born into a family of surfers, Chad spent his youth traveling the West coast chasing the next great set of waves. Eventually, his love of the ocean and sense of duty inspired him to enlist in the Coast Guard where he participated in the elite rescue swimmer’s program. After leaving the Coast Guard, Chad continued traveling until he discovered Austin.

Chad started his career in real estate as an agent. He worked in commercial sales and the wholesale markets. Although he was a natural as an agent, Chad eventually realized he preferred crawlspaces and attics to board rooms and cubicles. Following his graduation from trade school and receiving his professional inspectors license, Chad began a long apprenticeship under Andy Jordan, the principal owner and head inspector of TAHI Services. Chad has since acquired his pest control technicians license and multiple specialty certificates. Along with his work as a professional home inspector, Chad heads the marketing and investment opportunity wing of TAHI Services. Chad is also a member of several professional associations to include the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and the Texas Professional Real Estate Inspectors Association.

Chessie Collins – Real Estate Inspector #21834
chessie
After receiving a BA in Political Science and Masters of Public Administration from Appalachian State University, Chessie was recruited to  support the city planning director and manage political organization projects for the citizens of Marion, North Carolina. After several tireless years working in city politics, Chessie’s desire to serve in a greater capacity led to his decision to join the Army. It was at Officer Candidate School where he first met Andy Jordan, the owner and lead inspector of TAHI Service.

Chessie spent four years as an Army Engineer, quickly rising to the position of Executive Officer, 3rd Brigade, Engineering Battalion. After receiving an honorable discharge from the military, Chessie moved to Texas and accepted a job as a construction code officer for the City of Austin. During his time as a city inspector, Chessie received licenses and certification in a variety of construction specialties including, but not limited to: code enforcement, property maintenance, structural zoning, and international code regulations.

After relentless persuasion from Andy Jordan, Chessie agreed to bring his many talents to TAHI Services where he currently works as an associate inspector and lead expert in new construction and code related inspection/consulting processes. Chessie is a member of the American Association of Code Enforcement Officers, the Code Enforcement Association of Texas, International Code Council, and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
